We’re absolutely thrilled that Unanchored by Bravo TV premieres December 3rd at 10/9c because it was filmed not only in the Abaco Islands, but right here at Abaco Beach Resort. It’s going to be ‘Bahama Drama’ reality TV at it’s best!
Hosting the cast, crew, and production team at Abaco Beach Resort and having such an intimate role in the entire adventure was certainly a treat for us and provided for plenty of excitement.
Wondering what Unanchored is all about? Here’s the synopsis from Bravo TV: Led by their larger-than-life skipper, Captain Jack Royds, the crew attend one of the most coveted and exclusive “floating festivals,” called “The BucketLust” where 350 people and 35 catamarans set sail to breath-taking locales throughout the Bahamas.
On this annual trip, these friends jump in feet first by taking on all the work of the crew; from hoisting their own sails and tending the lines, to managing 100% of the cooking and cleaning. Every day brings a new stunning view and a thrilling excursion as they take dips with stingrays and swimming pigs, ride rocket-power jet boards and spend their nights partying until dawn.
But it’s not always smooth sailing for this group, as friendships are put to the test, long-distance couples are forced to see if their romance can survive 24/7 togetherness, and fiery exes try to coexist peacefully during their voyage. Between hidden jealousies and buried secrets, there’s no shortage of drama with these friends as pent-up conflict between the crew finally comes to a head.
Sounds exciting right?! We definitely can’t wait!
Abaco Beach Resort team member Harvey Moss worked closely with the cast and crew from Bravo during the weeks of filming and said that “the amount of equipment that was brought in was beyond belief. Our Below Decks space was transformed overnight into a mission control-like atmosphere when the trailer of equipment arrived.”
Abaco Beach Resort also provided specialized menus for the production team. “Each of the three crews had their own special menus which had to be prepared and delivered around the clock – twice per shift – and on time! Filming a reality TV show never stops,” added Moss.
The production team from Bravo loved it so much at Abaco Beach Resort they were loath to leave. They commented many times that our location in the Out Islands of the Bahamas is beyond compare and couldn’t have been more convenient –we agree!
